Christy-

Thank you so much for selling us Kisses, when we lost Breann's first pony I didn't think that she would ever find another one that would fit her personality, and Kisses is a perfect fit.  The two of them are just the same; small with a spit fire attitude ( in a good way).  Kisses helped Breann place 5th in poles, 6 in barrels, and 7th in goats this year at the Jr. Rodeo.  She finished 7th after a lot of seven year olds.  Breann is convinced with a little more practice her and Kisses are going to win the saddle next year just like her big brother.  I cant thank you enough, she is a sweet heart....attached is a few pictures of Kisses and Breann in action, as you can see they are both having a blast.

Thanks again  The Sanford Family

I just wanted you to know that Jacob did his first playday I'll by himself today, he did great!! Kisses was very happy just to walk the patterns for him, she even tried to help him when he messed up poles.  Although Bre isnt ready to give her up yet, Jacob is ready.  He came home from barrels saying " Oh Yeah!!  ITs my Birthday....!!!"  Everyone was laughing including him.  Gayle

Thanks again for Kisses its hard to find a horse, yet alone a pony that will run a 12 second keyhole for
bre and then slow down and run a 55 sec one for Jacob.  Gayle

Hello Christy:

Thank you for continuing to send me pictures of ponies and useful information. Just thought I'd update you on Treasure.  She has three students now on the weekend, one a day. The two little girls 5 and 6 love her madly and after only 6 lessons are beginning to ride her independently and at the sitting trot on the lunge line.  During the week she hangs out in the paddock with her 33 year old granny babysitter, my retired Arab mare.  They are inseparable, but have got used to the routine that on Thursday night they separate until  Sunday brunch so their herd boundness will not interfere with the children catching their pony. When Treasure is with her mare, she really does not want to be bothered with two legged beings and their nonsense, all except for Jason, the 11 year old autistic older brother of one of her little girls.  He could care less about horses or anything physical or messy for that matter and the first time he was brought here ( to make him stronger) he had an anxiety attack and almost threw up.  Treasure and I were most concerned about him so we asked what he really liked to do or wanted to be.  He is a video game role playing fanatic and sits in the house all day in his fantasy electronic world. He said he wants to design these when he grows up.  So right away Treasure and I and Linda Tellington Jones figured out what was needed.  I told him he didn't have to ride unless he wanted to, but he was going to do magic with a magic wand and that Treasure was going to be a heroine in a giant video game, the screen would be the round pen and the arena.  Then after her breakfast, he and Treasure and I went into the round pen and she was looking for weeds and grabbed one ( she is a real chow hound and has grown quite plump). So when I asked her to walk on, she had a little tantrum, shook her head bucked a bit and took off.  Oh look, I said to Jason, she doesn't want to go back to school and is having a little tantrum...she doesn't want to take the stupid test.  He could relate to that.  But then I said on the other hand how would you like to see your little sister on the back of that act?
Not a good idea he agreed.  O.K. so this is where you come in as master mind the save the day.  We agreed it was too hot to ride and probably to hot to run around like a fool and since Treasure was no fool she'd probably agree with us if we suggested to her that it wasn't a good idea.  So within 5 minutes, Jason had the lunge line and his Harry Potter magic wand and said Hey Treasure why don't you just walk and then how about

WHOA!  She turned around and looked at him like finally someone understands me!  He had her walking and whoaing very nicely and went home to tell his parents that even Treasure has a tantrum sometimes, but he talked her out of it.  Yesterday, his fourth time here, he rode Treasure independently, mounting by himself from the ground, the two of them negotiated that they would only stay on the shady side of the arena to keep cool because that made sense to both of them. When Treasure sees me coming for her she knows it means stinky fly stuff and other unpleasant prospects, but when Jason shows up she comes right up to him and lets him halter her, because after all he has some common sense, so why not?

Hi Christy,

You've done it again!  Now does Bri look happy or what?  Thanks for your service of trading Felix for Butterfinger.  Felix was a wonderful pony and taught Bri a lot!  Butterfinger is so willing and able to take them to the next level and we appreciate you giving us the opportunity to upgrade.  It puts our mind at ease that you were able to find Felix a great home.  It was a very difficult and exciting transition for us due to the fact that we loved Felix so much and he was the perfect lil beginner pony for Bri.  Bri still misses Felix a bunch, but Butterfinger has lessoned the hurt and he is so good with her.  Butterfinger is one lucky pony to have Bri has his friend.  She spends so much time just talking and loving on him!  Yesterday they competed in a leadline horse show.  They didn't win, but she got a ribbon and was extremely happy....it was PINK! Her favorite color.... (We actually have his pink pad covered with the Navaho blanket)  Next year they will be off lead and on their own doing walk trot.....   Butterfinger was the perfect gentleman at the show and was very quiet with Bri and all the commotion going on around him.  Thanks again for trading/upgrading ponies!  I am so thankful that you care enough about the ponies and kids to give your clients this opportunity!  I don't know of another person in the horse business willing to go the extra step!

Hello Christy,

Last night we had a play day at the CC (Caballo Club) for the kids.  Terri Yanez put it on for the kids and really went all out.  Kalen wasn't going to do it, but I told her they were also having some fun events too.  She got Felix and Candy Bar out and got them saddled.  She saddle CB up English....  I questioned her, but said, whatever!  :)  Bri wanted to ride Felix down to the arena by herself.  Now, 2 weeks ago, she didn't want us to make her go without without us holding onto the leadrope.....she rode for the first time in the arena on Monday and now she is big enough to head down to the arena solo?????  Yeah right!!  She may be ready in her mind for that, but I am NOT!  Bri wanted to be signed up for EVERYTHING!!  Kalen signed up for poles and barrels in her English saddle....  Anyways, Bri had a ball and Felix did very well!!  We have to figure out how to keep her boots on when she kicks....since she is also wearing spurs.  Even with spurs he hardly wants to move...and I am not complaining!  She won the dollar under the butt thing with Felix...but of course she got to use a saddle!  Kalen did soooooo well on the barrels and poles with Candy Bar in the English saddle.  I was so surprised.  She also won the egg and spoon contest...at a walk, trot and lope.  I think....that is a good training tool! ...it was a blast!  Now Bri wants to ride all the time!  :)

(UPDATED)  Congratulations goes out to Bri and Felix on their first Buckle.. :)  Yea Bri and Felix.

Nancy and I were looking for a starter horse for our 4 year old daughter Alysha when we found the BbarCPonies website.  We both have arabians and they adore Alysha, but all she can do is brush their bellys and legs.  After an exchange of emails and pictures we made the trip to see the ponies.  Alysha fell in love with Tiny.  We signed a contract and scheduled a pick up for the first weekend in November, but the fires came and displaced us so we had to delay getting Tiny for a couple of weeks.  Alysha was on us daily to pick up her Tiny.

We picked up Tiny and she is the kindest, sweetest animal anyone could ask for.  Alysha will halter her and walk her by herself to the arena for exercise (Remember this is only a 4 year old girl).  Tiny has never pulled away for been the least bit aggressive with Alysha and she will follow her like a puppy dog all day.  We have Alysha's friends over that have never been around horses and they can brush and pet Tiny all day long.

Tiny and Alysha will be in the Valley Center Western Days parade this year dressed in Red, White and Blue. Alysha has told me that when she grows up she wants her kids to have Tiny for their horse.

Thank you Christy and Kylie for the perfect match for our Daughter.

Dear Christie:

I took these pictures of one of my five year old students sitting on our pony, Treasure after her lesson yesterday. These pictures give you a better idea of what Treasure is like than the originals I sent, which did not show her pretty face or her actual size. She is doing really well, has regained the weight and now shares a stall with little black pony,  who is much bigger than Treasure, but Treasure is the little boss. She is very definite about her likes and dislikes, sort of like my old mare Nadgma, but is very smart and well trained and as you can see, she likes her children...the big smile on the little girl, who rarely smiles is proof of that. The too ponies are very content in each other's company and groom and pamper each other when they are not working. All the children are doing very well in the program and I am happy as a clam about this. Yours Truly, Catherine

Hi Christy,
We had her in our first parade on Sunday and both Lauren and Daisy had a ball!  She loves Lauren and we all love Daisy.  We have been getting regular exercise.  Thank you again for all your help.  I'm sure we will enjoy her for years to come.  We are already looking
forward to our next parade.

Christy,

I just wanted to update you on Oreo.  We bought him last March for our daughter Hannah, who was 5.  Well, Oreo turned out to be even better then we had hoped for.  This little guy is awesome!  He is a perfect baby sitter on the trail.  He'll go anywhere, water crossings, bridges, mud, you name it, nothing phases him!  We are so very pleased with him, and grateful that you sold him to us.  When Hannah outgrows this guy, we'll be calling you!!

Thanks again!

Dear Christy,

Just a quick hi and to let you know "Buffy" is doing great. Isabelle my six year old went on a trial ride with the neighbors. They rode about two miles and the pony did wonderfully. She walked along roads with zooming cars, jumped over dry creek beds, through lots of shrubbery and trees and up and down some pretty steep hills. We were very proud of both of them. "Buffy' and Isabelle have gotten very comfortable with each other. We had her hooves trimmed last week and the farrier thought that she was a great pony. He said her feet were in great shape and he doesn't come across too many "nice and gentle" ponies like her. It made me very happy.

Thanks,
Emily, Solvang
